Attendee Best Practices:

  1. Don’t RSVP to Everything. Be intentional—pick the ones that align with your goals or interests.
  2. Prioritize Quality Over Quantity. Make space for meaningful convos and real takeaways.
  3. Leave Time for Spontaneity. Some of the best moments happen in between the big events—serendipitous chats, after-hours hangouts, or stumbling upon a surprise pop-up.
  4. Network with Purpose. Have a few icebreakers or goals in mind and follow up meaningfully.
  5. Dress for the Vibe (and the Weather). Tech casual is the norm, but check the tone of each event (some panels might skew more business-casual).
  6. Charge Everything. Phone, portable charger, maybe even your smartwatch—keep your tech juiced!
  7. Check the Fine Print. Some events are private, invite-only, or ticketed, even if they appear public. Double-check details before showing up.

Who is responsible for events during Toronto Tech Week?

Toronto Tech Week is a decentralized week of events, and while we are proud to support the community with tools, resources, best practices, and guidelines, Toronto Tech Week (Canada Tech Week) is not responsible or liable for any events outside of the Homecoming event hosted by the Toronto Tech Week organizing committee. Each event during Toronto Tech Week is independently hosted by its own organizer(s), who are fully responsible for the execution, logistics, and delivery to attendees.

We are not involved in the planning or management of these events and do not assume any responsibility for their content, quality, or safety. By attending or participating in any event under Toronto Tech Week, you acknowledge that the host of that event is the sole party responsible for its operation.
